I think you can join every race apart from the events which take place at the Rockingham track.

To join you just have to join the server on time. You can find the password for the server below this chatbox.

Good luck!

Formula 1 Series Points Race Gets Tighter at the Top
youliftyoulose, Monday, October 22 2012 - 06:04:26 // comment: 0

The 5rh race with the BF1 in the F1 series took place at Westhill International in the reverse direction. 13 drivers came
out to qualify for the tricky combo. Mazdarati put his car on the pole with a quick 1:11.03. Black would line up alongside
him for the start with Speed Senna and Bandes right behind. With only two races left in the series Mazdarati was well
out in front with an even 100 points. Things were not nearly as clear for the remaining two spots as Bandes and Daniel
came into the race tied with 38 points with Black threatening at 33.

Mazdarati and Black both make T1 while Bandes and Speed Senna "over cook" the turn and end up in the run-off area.

Daniel and Weaver about to find out why you don't race this close in a BF1.

Weaver about to send Daniel into his first of multiple spins.

Black puts a stamp on his victory by putting in the fastest lap as he took the checkered flag.

Rookie MilanFIN started his race off with a drive through penalty as he jumped the start and rolled off of his grid position.

As the drivers made their way into T1 Speed Senna missed his braking point and headed into the runoff area. Bandes followed suit and
made his way back onto the race track back with Speed Senna right behind. Amazingly, both drivers in 3rd and 4th were down to 8th
and 9th after one turn.

Steve having moved up to 3rd, got a good run on Black down the back straight and seemed to have the pass made as they approached
the chicane. Steve thought better of it at the last moment and Black held on to 2nd. As Steve passed through the chicane his car became
unsettled and he went into a spin. Unfortunately for him, torberkel, who was right behind also ran wide at the chicane exit and collected
Steve sending them both further into the grass. Both cars were undamaged though Steve would have a lot of work to do as he returned
to the track, dead last in 13th.

Kelle, moving up to 8th as he passed the Steve/torberkel incident lost focus and put his right wheels on the grass and also went for a spin ,
displacing Steve in the final position.

On lap 2 Daniel (5th) got his car loose as he began the run down the back straight allowing Weaver to pull up alongside him. As they
approached the chicane their wheels touched for the briefest of moments. It was enough to send both cars off the track; Weaver
through the tire barriers and Daniel into a spin that would make a “merry-go-round” proud. Both cars were able to continue with minor
suspension damage. Weaver, not believing his pit crew that his car was still driveable, came into the pits for repairs, dropping him to
last place.

Up at the front, Black drafted Mazdarati down the back straight on lap 2 and made the pass stick. He would not be challenged again.

On lap 4, Kelle, after showing such promise, had several shunts, damaging his car in the process, chose become the first driver to
retire. By lap 5, both Speed Senna and Bandes had recovered back to 3rd and 4th.

On lap 7, Mazdarati (2nd) had some technical difficulties and went off track, heavily damaging his suspension. The early and unscheduled
pit stop put him behind his team mate in 8th.

On lap 10, Speed Senna, having a great race in 2nd, started to have difficulty with his car as his tires began to overheat. He lost control
on the last turn and crashed his car into the barrier causing him to retire.

MilanFIN, chose a tough combo to make his debut in Absolute Beginners. After several shunts he pitted to repair his car but did not change
his tires. As he returned to the track his overheated rears made the car impossible to drive, sending him off the track several more times.
As he made his way to the pits he over cooked his clutch leaving him stranded in the pit box, making him the 3rd car to retire. On the
bright side he should be commended for his observance of the blue flags as he made every attempt to stay out of the way of the other
drivers.

Luca, once again seemed to be chasing Daniel for most of the race, caught up to him more than once only to make a mistake and fall back.
Finally on lap 28 he made the pass stick and moved into 4th. A podium was just in sight with Bandes up ahead. Things would come to a
screeching halt one lap later, however. Luca running low on fuel headed to the pits at the end of lap 29. When playing with the buttons in
his cockpit, he accidentally hit the kill switch and turned off the engine. As everyone knows, except for Luca apparently, the BF1 does not
have starter. The blunder left Luca’s pit crew staring at him as he climbed out of the car and went for an early shower.

As the laps wound down, with only 9 cars left on the track, things appeared to be settled as far as the podium would be concerned. Black,
on a two stop strategy, had a comfortable lead over Mazdarati. Bandes, in 3rd had a big lead over 4th place Steve.

Bandes, unfortunately, having a history with bad tires was about to suffer the same fate again as his left front gave out with only 7 laps
to go. By the time he limped back to the pits, Steve had taken 3rd. Steve, on the next lap almost returned the favour by running wide
into the gravel on the last turn. He avoided getting stuck in the trap and returned to the track still in 3rd.

Black easily took the win as he moved up the standings in the point race. Mazdarati claimed 2nd and solidified his hold on the championship
lead. Steve, while not having a good season points wise, had a satisfying race, coming all the way back from last to take 3rd place on
the podium. By finishing 4th over 5th place Daniel, Bandes breaks the tie and moves ahead with one race to go.

See you next race Aston National.
