I think you can join every race apart from the events which take place at the Rockingham track.

To join you just have to join the server on time. You can find the password for the server below this chatbox.

Good luck!

The third race of the Cabrio Sprint Cup took place on a custom Aston layout.
But not before a few things had to be discussed, click "read more" to see what happend.
Car of choice was the only "true" cabrio in LFS, the Raceabout.
The track was a slightly bigger version of the "Aston Club" layout, using the wider curve of the "Grand Prix" layout for its first turn.

Originally a custom constructed design had been planned on the finish straight. In tests the chicane was shown to be too dangerous, so that it was removed before the start.
Deconstruction did not take long, as most of the work had already been done during practice.

Qualifying
In the usual one-shot qualification David K. took pole position in front of Litro and Antti.
Championship leader Mazdarati had to carry a ballast of 72kg and could only secure the sixth start position.

Sprint 1
The long start straight and wide T1 allowed all cars to get a smooth start.
Coming up to the fast esses pmw backed off from a passing attempt against DeiviY but then in the bends still got into a drift. In the resulting chaos a few cars tumbled here and there and the field got pretty mixed up.
Luckily the walls were far enough away and nobody suffered too severe damage.

David K. was leading the race for 11 laps but all the time Litro had been on his heels.
Eventually David K. run a bit too wide and Litro took over the lead. In the next turn David K. had the inside line which allowed for a chance to fight back but ultimately Litro would win the duel and the race.

Especially in the second sector the seemingly simple circuit proved to be not quite as easy.
The suspension of the Raceabout did not take too well to the the weight transfer in the fast esses.
This part could be taken almost flatout which made it tempting to go a little bit faster each time. But a slight misjudgement and suddendly the slight bend resulted in a excursion through the grass...

During braking the RAC was also famously unstable and resulted in some smoking tires and black lines on the asphalt.

In the last laps toberkel on 11st position managed to catch AkuLambat.
Maybe in the last lap there would have been a chance but it should not be and so toberkel missed a top-10 finish by 0.17 seconds.

Antti and DataFi enjoyed close racing for most of the distance until Antti discovered the boost-button and took off onto third place.

Sprint 2
The second sprint begun with trouble.
Temperator got onto the grass early on and drifted in front of nosnickid who could only brake hard but had no chance to dodge.

This time the race winner was decided early on. In lap 6 David K. clipped a tire and did a 360° spin.
Litro took over the lead and without any ballast had no troubles to hold it until the end.

DataFi on second position eventually also got caught by the tricky handling of the Raceabout.
After 17 stable laps he got into a wobble and spun into the path of Antti. After a near miss the MTDZX driver took over second place.

He was not the first victim, as earlier Daniel and Black had already spun in similiar fashion in the last sector.
The unpredictable car spread the field out a bit but also allowed many oppurtunities for passing.
Lap 8 toberkel bumped into Mondbrot when braking for the last turn. The punishment came swift as it now allowed pmw to overtake toberkel, while Mondbrot could escape, for now.

Lap 18 Mighpa got unlucky when a front tire decided "enough was enough."
With a punctured tire the car understeered into a wall and had to enter the pitlane for repairs.

In the final laps Mondbrot and toberkel meet again, this time in fight for seventh position.
After some back and forth Mondbrot came out ahead.

It had been two interessting races, with some strange events and drifts that only can happen in a car such as the Raceabout.
Afterall, how often does one see a puncture in a 23 lap sprintrace?
The ballast system seemed to have done its job, as some of the usual podium winners were now racing in the midfield.

Before the upcoming last race, a quick look at the top portion of the points table:

1     THR Mazdarati/1     Tortoise & Hare Racing (T&H)     200
2     pmw /2     Petsamon Mafia     179
3     ERRAkuLambat/1     Escudería Rinocerontes Rebosantes     167
4     [GRT]LRK-racer /2     Germerican Racing Team     146
5     RBRDavid K./4     (None)     134
6     BMR-Mondbrot/1     Black Moon Rising     131
7     THR Daniel /1     Tortoise & Hare Racing (T&H)     129
8     [BER]DataFi /1     Black Eagle Racing     124
9     BMR - Black/1     Black Moon Rising     122
10     Migpha/2     Fortunato Racing Team     87

Per event there is a maximum of 2x 40 points to win, meaning 10 drivers still have a chance to win the overall championship.
While that is more a mathematically chance, a top-3 finish is maybe a realistic outcome for some drivers.
Especially with the element of uncertainty that is contained in the chicane of the next track.
A DNF in the last race might make or break champions.
