I think you can join every race apart from the events which take place at the Rockingham track.

To join you just have to join the server on time. You can find the password for the server below this chatbox.

Good luck!

Wall of Champions at Kyoto

Race 6 of the 22nd season of the S2 series of Absolute Beginners race took place at Kyoto Grand Prix Long in the reverse direction. The powerful GT1 cars were designated for this track. Once the 20 minutes of qualifying were completed LRK-racer stood on the pole with a 2:10.92. Mazdarati was a couple of tens behind with the rest of the field considerably farther back.

DataFi and Mondbrot once again going head to head for most of the race.

With 3 different cars in the race the run down to the first corner was sure to present its share of difficulties. As predicted the hard braking and curved end to the straight was sure to unsettle at least one car in the field. GeneralPurpose found his car sideways as he collected both tires and cars as he struggled to keep his on the tarmac. Just when he thought he had recovered he made contact with Bingo Wings sending him spinning. Lazaczenko was unable to avoid Bingo Wings and made contact with his right front. The extra bump sent Bingo Wings into the path of Daniel who pushed both cars into the grass. Both drivers dropped to the back of the pack as the race continued.

Before the first lap was over Lucariwhoa got into the back of Temporato sending him off track and into the grass. Camoradi got caught up in the turmoil and went off track himself.

On lap 3 things went wrong for Mazdarati as he went in a bit too deep at the end of the straight and found the gravel. While his car was undamaged by the time he got back on the track he had fallen back to P8. On the same lap AkuLambat also ran a bit wide on the last corner and put his right side tires on the grass, an unforgiving mistake. As he recovered he watched 3 cars go by as he dropped down to P9.
On lap 5 Daniel also found the gravel at the end of the straight and had to watch several cars go by as he dropped back to P17. Farther up the field Varna went off track just before the bridge and fought to keep his car pointed in the right direction on the slippery grass. He did a good job of it and only lost a couple of positions.

By the end of lap 6 Mazdarati had worked his way back up to P4 getting by both Black and Space in on fell swoop.

On lap 7 just as Mazdarati pulled up on the bumper of Mondbrot (P3) he took a little too much speed into the high speed right hander and ended up on the asphalt runoff area. Black quickly took back the position he had given up earlier leaving Mazdarati to have to work hard to regain the spot again. It didn't take long as he drafted Black down the straight and took back P4 before the lap was completed.
As the race crossed the halfway mark, DataFi, Mondbrot and Black appeared to be in a battle over the final 2 podiums spots.

On lap 13 Mazdarati shot by AkuLambat and set his sights on LRK-racer. The lead was just a shade over 2 seconds and there was still plenty of time.

With the mandatory pit stops out of the way, LRK-racer had less than a second lead over Mazdarati. DataFi and Mondbrot were still contesting 3rd.

With just 3 laps to Mazdarati was getting close to striking range of LRK-racer. He pushed a little too hard as he approached the underpass and caught the grass with his right side. The mistake was unforgiving as he did a 360 and ended up in the gravel. As he struggled to get out of the gravel Mondbrot flashed by and assumed P3.

Not something you often see, Mazdarati and a sea of gravel. He did an amazing job to finish 4th after finding the gravel numerous times.

The frequent trips in the gravel must have unsettled Mazdarati as he overshot the end of the straight on the next lap and found himself back in the gravel. The off track excursion cost him another position as Space took advantage of the mishap.

On lap 18 AkuLambat saw his race come to an abrupt end as he suffered some technical problems and was disconnected giving up a top 10 finish.

As the checkered flag flew, LRK-racer crossed first to take the victory. DataFi and Mondbrot battled right to the end with DataFi claiming 2nd and Mondbrot 3rd.

A small victory for Mazdarati as he managed to put in the fastest lap of the race on the final lap beating out LRK-racer by 0.01 seconds.

LRK-racer sporting some left side damage screams across the finish line for the victory.
